I have to wonder about people who would spend $800 on a case that does absolutely nothing to improve the performance of the machine.
And since Comicon is all about banning weapons on costumes, I assume pens will be banned next year. |

Quote:
I will take Debian over puppy linux any day. In that vein it seems that Dell has dropped Ubuntu Linux and now is going to tout Oracle (bastardized RedHat)) Linux/ for allegedly better support options. Oracle also allegedly shut down it psql (cousin of mysql) test servers. Looks like Oracle may not be that friend to open source after all..The EU and the DOJ should have their ears to the ground. I smell a dead fish.. . |

Wish I would have kept my old archos for this.
Do what I do and transcode from flac to apples lossless codec. Seriously it's just so much easier to pirate the movies you own rather than trying to rip them. I recently flew from new York to Carson city and stocked up on comics and videos only to find myself sleeping over 60% of the flight.

When Patrick is talking about the SD expandability of the Dell Streak, he make it sound as if he thinks SDHC cards will be larger than 32G (I think the quote is something like "expansion of right now, I think, 32G"). While, yes 32G micro SDHC cards are just now hitting the market (you can buy one direct from SanDisk for about $200), 32G is the largest you will ever see as long as everyone follows the spec. Just like the 4G SD cards that came out before SDHC didn't work everywhere because they broke the spec. To go greater than SDHC's 32G size one needs to transition to the (currently vaporware) SDXC spec that allows up to 2T of addressable space.
Just thought I would let you all know so your hopes don't get up that any SDHC based device would ever be able to handle more than 32G. (Just a little something I picked up when learning how to access SD cards in embedded systems.) |

DBPowerAMP is paid software. As we all know paid software is not a good reccommendation as everyone doesn't have the cash and there is nearly always a free alternative. I reccomend FormatFactory for audio transcoding. It does video too!

Good episode with the info from Comic Con and the Boxoh site.
1st post as I started watching this show after seeing Norton's 1st apperace on TWICH with Ryan a few weeks back. I also notice that the site for Boxoh was mislabel for the URL as wetransfer.com as I use it to check a package I order last week. |
