Roger mentions that he will learn us on brightness and contrast after a couple user questions. The user questions come and go and then end credits. Did this segment get bumped to next week due to time constraints?

I'm old enough that I saw The Breakfast Club the week it opened in the theater. I thought it sucked then, and I've thought it sucked each successive time that I was forced by a girlfriend to watch it since. I'm sure it sucks just as hard on Blu-ray. Out of the whole bunch of them, the only actor that grew up to become really good is Emilio Estevez.

Great episode..I do think however you should just do an in depth episode about just HDTV calibration, then another on sound calibration. I love the work you guys do, but splitting episodes up on a subject is silly and makes things more confusing.
And I agree on the previous "Breakfast Club" comment.. :-) |

I went to a T-Mobile kiosk and saw the Samsung Vibrant - the T-Mobile version of the Samsung Galaxy. It streamed video very well, and I showed the salespeople the Revision3 site and they loved it.
To really go "off the grid" - as Patrick says - he should check the DVD or Blu-Ray box sets of Entourage and True Blood out of a library. My public library has them, and I was surprised. Yamaha makes receivers that will calibrate their settings based on a microphone placed around a room. This may work. Yamaha professional audio mixers have enjoyed a good reputation for years. A feature that they have had since about 1990 is the audio DSP that created the "sound fields" that Patrick is very critical of. There is just so much distortion and on modern movie discs that it is hard to describe what it is trying to be "true" (fidelity) to. So try the custom microphone calibration. I loved The Breakfast Club cinematography for its indoor classroom look. It looks similar to the Ferris Bueller's Day Off interiors of a classroom. To me it was bright not sterile and with great definition not washed out. Question: Does resetting back to the factory settings require the firmware to be reinstalled? Your studio display must be very bright to accommodate your studio lights. |

Any early Android adopter is coming up on their 2 year commitment right about now, so T-Mobile scheduled that release quite well. I know more than a few people who got the G1 and are now looking for an upgrade.Quote:

Just make sure that the Flash player is the latest version as the Vibrant wouldn't play the Flash version of Revision3's episodes. The Vibrant streamed Revision3 .mp4 files very well from T-mobile's 3G network.
