Rooting Android
The arrival of one-touch root apps for Android means that it just became a whole lot easier to open up administrator-level access to your device. Zac and Ron take Easy Root for a spin and run down why you might want to root your Droid.

I did this a few weeks ago on my Sony Xperia X10 using a free tool called "Universal Androot", with a 1 click process that works on quite a few Android phones. Just thought it seemed like a nicer alternative than "EasyRoot", and its free. As far as I can tell, this is the original blog for Universal Androot, though it's half Chinese. From the comments it seems to have problems with the Desire on 2.2 and the Hero, but other than that I don't see any complaints at all. I've been laughing all the way through the episode... ...The title "Rooting the Droid" had me scratching my head... ...Why would you want to have sex with your phone???...
Then when I pressed play on came the lolz... In my part of Australia "rooting" mean sex... ...And "rooted" means broken... ...so talking about rooting your phone is bringing on the giggles... Ron: "And I'm not going to "root" my phone"... ...lolz...
