Hey David, since when does Google not collect 30% for apps sold in the Marketplace? It's in their agreement, under "Transaction fees":
http://market.android.com/support/bi...?answer=112622 For applications that you choose to sell in Android Market, the transaction fee is equivalent to 30% of the application price. Don't hate on Apple for doing the same thing Google does... |

What's worse is that Prager won't correct the statement and it will be preached as gospel from the Android fans that don't know any better.
I think the pricing is very fair. Prager also forgot how much the credit card fees are that Apple and the Droid marketplace pay out that the developers don't have to deal with on top of the obvious hosting and promoting. Last edited by dragngt : 09-18-2010 at 11:46 PM. |

Yes, Google *does* take 30% just like Apple does. It sucks. I understand they deserve some cut for publishing it on their Market, but come on -- 30%? That's a bit steep.

For people who didn't already notice (and play all weekend like I did) -- the full version of Angry Birds made its way into the Market on Friday. And it's free!
