It's official..
The Game Show has been permanently canceled, according to a posting on theStream.tv's message forum. The show has been removed from the show list and moved to the "Gone But Not Forgotten" section. Which, in turn means that theStream.tv is totally dead at the moment due to loss of sponsorship.

ahh... where? I've been on it quite a bit the past week or so, and I don't see anything official anywhere. Just a whole bunch of nothing...

Yup, its true they moved TGS off the current shows list and will be moving this forum to the archives soon, they did the same thing when animeTV got taken off. I don't know if TGS is gone for good but its gone from rev3 for certain.
If your looking for a decent video game podcast www.gamebreaker.tv has some decent shows and Jim Festante has been co-hosting the gamebreaker podcast the past couple weeks with Nikole guest hosting a couple weeks ago. Last edited by hexxor : 09-27-2010 at 08:18 AM.

It's REALLY annoying how Rev3 just throws shows into the archive without even so much as an announcement that they're being dropped, especially when the shows themselves say they're just going on hiatus.
If TGS really IS gone for good, I can't say I'm surprised, considering Web Drifter, The GigaOm Show, and Anime TV.

To what I see its the same BS here and the same BS there so nothing is official until Brian says so. Just like Jim said 11 post ago. just because its not on the main list doesn't mean its gone its probably due to no content/hiatus.

As much as i'd like to see it comeback, you can't make an announcement the day before it's suppose to come saying it's still on hiatus, It's not fair to the fans. If the TGS or thestream comeback awesome, if not it's not like you'll be missing much, it hasn't been around for months

In all honesty, we're not a 1:1 replacement for The Game Show - they're amazingly talented and the show had a vibe of its own that no one's going to touch. But hopefully between Bytejacker and some other stuff we've got coming up very, VERY soon, we'll do a decent enough job of scratching your gaming itch.
