Wtf! The consolidated TDR is ending thread

Once again the monkeys that took over rev3 over a year ago are pushing their flashing buttons and once again taking another beloved show away from me.


Diggnation---- leaving
Digg Reel ---- gone
Infected- gone
Internet superstar--- gone
Webdrifter---- gone
Revision3 Gazette--- gone
TRS--- fucked up by going daily..... soon to be gone
no Control Alt Chicken
no Broken
no systm
and no freaking Pixel Perfect

What ever new business model Rev3 adopted over the last 1/2 -2 years, REALLY SUCKS!!!!

Rev3 used to be my favorite site. I came here all the time.

They were close like a family.... Look what has happened

Doug, Spoony, Angry Joe, Linkara and the rest of those guys are the close kind of people that rev3 used to be....

They have that magic that Rev3 has lost....





Just a note... Martin Sargent was the guy that brought me to Revision3. I looked him up one day after missing Unscrewed and found Rev3, back when it just started...


I DISPISE THE CHOICE TO FIRE MARTIN FROM REV3 EXPECTUALLY AFTER JAY (former ceo) CLAIMED THAT MARTIN WOULD ALWAYS HAVE A PLACE AT REVISION3!!!!!

I also must say that DIGGNATION IS THE ONLY REASON I COME TO REV3 ANYMORE. I WATCH OTHER SHOWS, BUT THAT'S ONLY AFTER GETTING MY DIGGNATION FIX. TRS IS DAILY NOW SO I'M LESS LIKELY TO WATCH IT EVERYDAY.

IF DIGGNATION GOES, I WON'T HAVE A REASON TO COME HERE ANY MORE. THAT MEANS NO WATCHING OTHER RANDOM VIDEOS THAT I FIND INTERESTING WHEN I GET HERE.


If Digg v4 sucks. Then fix it. Change the name of the show if you have to. Get your funny news articles the old fashion way, by looking them up.. But don't keep Kevin and Alex from sitting on a couch drinking beers and having a good time with us.

HD Nation and Tekzilla probably don't stomp on each other's feet since they share a host (Patrick) and obviously aren't filmed at the same time, plus they actually have an abundance of new content to talk about all the time.

Half the other shows were available elsewhere and Rev3 just kind of rehosts them, and the other shows Rev3 just pays for the content while the filming, editing, etc is done else where.

Really, though, Rev3 is getting really, really light on content these days with all these micro-shows.

I share everyone else's sentiment. Dumping the Digg Reel is a bad idea. Bringing it back to the 20 minute weekly show that it once was would be a great idea, but losing Andrew and the Digg Reel is just dumb.

I must admit, every time I hear someone go on a rant about how Rev 3 doesn't listen to their audience, and is only in it for the advertising dollars, I just tune it out, but with much of the recent decisions lately (and the continued lack of response from anyone working at Rev 3 when this crap happens) I'm starting to think that all those rants are true, and that Revision 3 really doesn't care about its audience.

I think it's time I rethought staying with Rev 3.

Quoted for truth. Any naysayers (myself included) about Digg Reel was related to the change in format. There was very little actual negativity and TDR is a show I think the Revision3 audience cares a lot about.

It quite literally is the opposite show to Social Brew or JV's World.

It's bullsh*t! Rev3 in my opinion is burying itself. I don't need to list off all the bad shit they have been doing over time (firing of great talent?? other people have done this already).
I have been consuming Rev3 content since the start (thebroken,diggnation, infected,systm) and over time some very great shows have been produced.
I find myself not coming to Rev3 much at all anymore due to the fact that "they" cancel just about every show thats "worth" watching. Do I really need multiple stupid fu**ing shows for applications for my phone? Really???

Bout the only shows I watch anymore are Diggnation, The Digg Reel, Tekzilla (now and then), The new shows Joe Genius & Ben Heck are kinda good but they just seem like a rehash of Systm. And Penn Point, but thats only cause it's Penn-fu**ing-Jillette!

I don't know. It just sucks to see something oh so good destroy itself from the inside.

If I had to fathom a guess, which I will since I'm already typing and all, I would bet that with the sale of Go Daddy they're losing a huge sponsor and probably don't have the cash to stay afloat.

Random speculation, maybe, did I say it anyway - yes, yes I did.

Well... Digg Reel was riding the coattails of Diggnation w/ the Digg name on Rev3.. I've always thought that both shows limited themselves by only having content on the 1 website. And with the changes in Diggnation shooting schedule.. DiggReel would air some of the clips 2-3 weeks before Kevin and Alex showed them on D-nation.

Tosh 2.0 came in on traditional tv and stole DiggReel's thunder because of cable broadcast and the ability of longform video to add more content per package. IMO the CEO's thinking the new "net" trend in towards shortform is crap. Yes... if U have lame content for that episode... make it short. I'd rather have 15 minutes of good content than have 9 minutes of crap added to make it a certain legnth.. But that said... w/ all the creative minds (left that is that havent been fired from Rev3) i'd bet quality content could be made to fill many many minutes across varied shows to make them a "meal" instead of just a "nibble". With long form shows like Tosh 2.0.. have the time for things like "web redemption" where they go and interact w/ the vid peeps (sorta like Webdrifter, but wont go there except to say "Screw U Louderback", drives away w/ Martin an a 1990s Caddy).
Dont know about the inner workings of Rev3.. b/w costs vs revenue...or how torrenting could help/hurt distribution/income... but seems to me that the ad placement model is old media, individual show subscription wont work.

Perhaps it needs to have support from ISPs (if they produce longform quality content)... ISP AD: Choose us as UR ISP and not only do U get yadda yadda yadda, but U get priority streaming of Rev3 etc... tho that kinda messes w/ net neutrality (unless its an option, like it doesnt count towards a b/w cap).

Many thoughts, many opportunities and failures in my thinking.. but current thinking seems to be ruining good netshows

The Digg Reel concept is great, Andrew is my favorite Rev3 host and Annie was an amazing host as well. What gives here? I have quite a few friends who feel the same way, so I'm not sure why it's necessary or wise to scrap the show.

My thoughts exactly! TRS going daily was bad enough, now the Diggreel is no more. This SUCKS!
