Hi Ben. I love your show.
I have been looking for an alternative to the expensive Wacom Cintiq tablets, and have found a DIY community who build their own Cintiqs using older model Wacom tablets and parts from LCD monitors: http://www.bongofish.co.uk/ I originally was going to dive in, but I really didn't want to take apart my Wacom Intuos 3. I then discovered that someone had built a non-destructive enclosure for their Wacom: http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/16/h...ough-prefab-d/ I was wondering if there would be some way to build something like this myself. I had already looked into getting certain parts such as a 15" Laptop LCD (1600x1200), compatible LCD controller (with DVI), and power inverter, but I never got much farther than that. Anyway, thanks for your time. |
