Announcement: iFanboy Leaves Revision3

We've got some exciting news regarding the iFanboy video show. Last week’s episode of iFanboy, “Red Hulk” was our final episode on Revision3, the internet television network.

Our experience over the past 3 years of working with Revision3 in publishing our video show has been extremely rewarding in many ways. But all good things must come to an end. As you've all seen this year, beginning with our partnership with Graphic.ly, iFanboy has been growing in many areas, and the time has come to branch out on our own. Before anyone jumps to any conclusions, we worked with Revision3 to come to this decision together and the timing is right for everyone involved. We have nothing but great things to say about everyone who works over at Revision3 (except Ron) and we can honestly say that our three years at Revision3 was fantastic.

Without Revision3 there would probably not be an iFanboy video show and for that we are all thankful. They saw the video we shot (on a lark) at San Diego Comic-Con 2006 and asked if we wanted to do a weekly comic book video show on their network. Thus, the regular video show was born and a great relationship began. We’d like to thank Jay Adelson, David Prager, Brad Murphy, Ryan Vance, Jim Louderback,and everyone at Revision3 for all of their hard work and for having us as a part of their family.

There will be a short hiatus for new episodes of iFanboy until we get up and running on our own. New shows will return with New York Comic Con coverage. You will be still be able to watch the video show here on iFanboy.com or if you are an iTunes subscriber you will still be able to receive the show on your feed just as you always did. As for other avenues of distribution, we plan to provide the show everywhere it's currently being seen, as well as in some new places, so stay tuned for more details.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support and we don't plan on stopping the great original comic book content any time soon.

I've actually only ever watched the video show on iFanboy.com. I've never watched it on Revision3. I come here only for the message board. Will whatever the new format/outlet or whatever for the show is continue to offer the comics message board? I would miss my daily visits to this forum to check out new posts and threads if it went away.

They aren't losing the forums are they??

When they joined Rev3 they migrated the forums here. No doubt Rev3 will let them export it back out to their own site.

There will be new forums on iFanboy.com... soonish. These aren't our forums, they never were, they are Revision3's, so we won't be migrating them over.

It's a pity because I know a lot of people who got into iFanboy via Revision3, but as long as I know about it I'm happy to follow the show, site, and content on. Hopefully, the video delivery system will be as robust as Revision3's... keep up the good work and keep promoting the site hard!
