Default hmm..

well i always looked at it like this, The point of the Moses story isn't the Red sea, the 12 plauges, Pillar of Fire, any of that. its the interaction between Moses and Pharaoh, that no man can determan another mans freedom. We are Free because "GOD" makes us free, and no man can over turn "GOD". And the 10 commandments, the set of laws under which jewish people use.

it's way the Founders of the country Use that story in alot of the setup in the country. that setting of we are Free because the "Creator" says so, endowed with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

If there is a God or not isn't the point i feel, but the Freedoms the Country stands for are set up under the Premise that he does.

i know thats a little long winded but i think you kind of miss the point of things sometimes.

but i'll end it all with this. I don't know if there is a God or not really, but i think saying there is, is just as closed minded as saying there isn't, the only answer to the Question

"Is there a God?"

is

"not enough information to come to an answer at this time."

if you are truely intellectually honest, that is the only answer one can come too.

Default is there a god

I respect what you say but I wholeheartedly disagree with you.The I don't know answer is not valid,There is NO I repeat NO realistic evidence of a supreme being.Ancient fairytales used to explain things people did not understand and the continuing retelling of those stories are not evidence. The only answer to the question is "There is no "god" however we must be opened to change if the evidence changes".That is the ONLY logical statement. Those that have another option please post."My opinion must change as the evidence changes"THNX

Of course "not enough information to come to an answer at this time." might be true, but you could answer every question in your life with that.

At some point we have to draw a line for some things and say "You know what, I think I have enough information... I'm ready to decide". It's not close-minded to make a decision for yourself on religion one way or the other.
