he did not insult parents of children with autism, there is zero, i repeat zero, evidence that vaccines cause autism, and if your worried about murcury(they stopped putting murcury in vaccines like a decade ago) please do not feed your children tuna because there is more in there than was in vaccines. saying that avoiding vaccinating children from an irrational fear is dumb is in no way putting down what parents of children with autism go through.

Look the list over. Peer reviewed articles in the top medical/science journals in the country. funding from public sources (NSF, NIH) and not the "big pharma".

As the father of two children on the Autism spectrum. I was not at all insulted by by Penn. I am insulted by people like Jenny McCarthy (and you johnbest) claiming to speak on my behalf. McCarthy is completely unqualified to act as an advocate for parents with children on the spectrum.

Autism is not caused by vaccines, it is not environmental. It is not caused by poisons. It is not caused by diet. Children who are fully immunized are diagnosed more frequently with Autism because vaccinated children more frequently have proper health care. Parents of children who are not vaccinated because they are crazy, stupid, misinformed or self important wouldn't recognize the early signs of Autism in their children if it bit them on the ass.

Autism is genetic. There are a cluster of syndromes caused by brain damage or digestive disorders that are often mistaken for Autism. These syndromes are serious and real but they are not Autism.

Parents of Autistic children deny the Autism spectrum in themselves because they fear the prejudice or they just don't understand the condition. It's easier to blame someone else then to confront their own faults.

I repeat, Autism is not caused by anything environmental. A child is potentially Autistic from birth. Autism comes from the parents.

You have been lied to. What you describe is not Autism. Your "facts" about Autism simply are not true.

I don't believe propaganda. My beliefs are base on my on direct observations over years and family history. My Children displayed symptoms of Autism from birth...months before they had their first vaccine. Spectrum disorders are common in my family. Nearly everybody has them. We do not lead miserable, nightmarish lives. But, we are careful to screen our children early. Not only that, they have never recieved mercury based vaccines.

My children's Autism makes them brilliant. They are not to be pitied. My kids will have happy, productive lives despite your prejudice. Autism cannot be "cured" it is part of who you are.

It's prejudice from people like you that I most fear.

Do you understand clinical trials and studies?
Do you understand what APO-E4 actually is and that the way lAnguage is used in a scientific article is different to that used in common language and has very specific meanings?
Do you understand what an antioxidant is and the health implications for the human body?
Do you understand chelation is junk science - but the nutritional protocols followed in the administration of alpha lipolic acid are beneficial to general pediatric development?

I am sorry about Sam, but studies have shown that you (your genetics) are more at fault for his condition than anything administered in a vaccine. Hard to accept.

Autism has no cure and lipoic acids are found in common every day foods such as spinach, broccoli, and pretty much everything you have ever eaten.

Aspergers is a specific segment of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Dismissing those with AS as not being Autistic enough for you is insulting.
The delineation between AS and High Functioning Autism is not clear, as there is significant overlap between the characteristics (and their degree) between people diagnosed with HFA and AS, which is why there is a defined spectrum of disorders.

If chelation is a cure, why is your son autistic?

You are like a holocaust denier. Despite the overwhelming evidence, you cling to crackpot beliefs based on pseudoscience to bring you a personal level of comfort and someone (apart from your own genetics) to blame. Evyone loves a scapegoat.
