Is this a decent camera for a beginner?

Sanyo Xacti High Definition SDHC Camcorder with 30X Optical Zoom
It is on Woot! right now. I just ordered one cause the price seemed relatively nice and even if it isn't that great I figure it would be decent enough to play with. Thoughts?
