When ripping Blu-ray it is not always the single largest m2ts file in the stream directory on the disk.

In animated movies (toy story 3, up, etc) it is common for the video to be split over several m2ts files, so that they can change the language rendered just for a small part that has text on it, like the titles and the credits.

In some movies with special features (iron man 2, prince of persia, etc) they are just split up for random crap (in these examples, certain scenes can have pointless overlays) and I can't really see the point in it.

In movies where there are more than one version (e.g. a "family mode"), it is also common to either cut certain scenes or censor them.

In harold and kumar, there is an interactive mode where you can choose what happens, so it is all split up there too.

In any case, you can use tsMuxeR to get one big .m2ts file out of the appropriate .mpls file, with just the streams you want. The problem is working out which .mpls file to use. I use findstr on the command line for this (similar to grep) but most people probably won't be comfortable using that.

Example command line (if you know that 00325.m2ts is the biggest m2ts, for example).
Code:
D:\BDMV\PLAYLIST>findstr /m "00325" *.mpls
It will probably list a couple of mpls files but you can do it again with the second biggest to narrow it down, and eventually just open them up in tsMuxeR to work out which it should be.

It's a bit convoluted but not much works with .mpls playlist files yet.

Sex Loses to Remote Control. Not in my house.

http://portablelinuxapps.org/ is Interesting. Glad to see Libreoffice (offshoot of Openoffice developed after Oracle bought Sun who actually owned the rights to Openoffice) Free of Larry Ellison. I had a problem with a couple of apps.

Just in case it was not mentioned. Had to make them executable with (from the command line.)
chmod +x progname

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw this episode. I've run across disc with a 'theatrical' and 'unrated' versions. Also, choosing the .mpls file will have the chapter information, if you back up to a file format that can use chapters, such as mkv.

With AnyDVD HD running I set Handbrake to open a folder and select my BD-Rom. It will take Handbrake a moment but it will be able to read the files as titles the same as playback software. I did this when ripping RED & Home Alone to AVC files to stream around my home.

If that survey found that sex loses to the remote control, then they also found a lot of really dumb people with mental problems to survey. Sex never loses, at least not in my house

Yes, crapware sucks. But higher computer prices because they don't have the crapware subsidies suck more. Since its no big deal for anyone with half a clue to delete the crapware, I'll take the cheaper prices thankyouverymuch.
