This was the funniest Film Riot episode yet, and more than likely the funniest ep of anything I've ever seen on Rev 3 (not including Diggnation of course).
But srsly this was an effing amazing episode. Keep this shiz up! |

the 3rd method (with lights/torches) was quite clever and looked very effective for night driving

all i could make out was "show me the money uh oh"
add the word lyrics infront of that, and there are some results on google. most seem to be a dubstep remix. Oh and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGCFjCI7xV4 |

What I hear is: stay in your lane, this is my game, show me the money, uh-oh uh-oh
I tried searching google for quite a while and couldn't find anything. Do Ryan or Josh ever reply to topics in here or how could I get their answer? |

Great episode. I thought the third method was very creative. I'd have never thought of that on my own.
However, there is one thing which wasn't mentioned (and if it was, I'm deaf and sorry) which I think would be useful in this type of scene. Often times, in both amateur AND big Hollywood films, I see the drivers wheel actions not match the movement of the backgrounds at all. The driver will be moving the wheel too much, or not enough. I've also seen cases where the background will be "turning" and the actor who is "driving" won't turn the wheel. These thing kill the illusion. Also, be sure not to have any bobble-heads or visible liquids (bottled-water etc) in view unless you have a means to move/vibrate them. Nothing kills the effect of a moving car more for me than seeing no movement in the actor's drinks... that is, when there are drinks. One last thing. For added realism, I like to have someone holding picture/video or something similar in front of the car for the "driver" to pay attention to. This way the actions of the actor playing the driver seem closer to what a real driver would do when paying attention to the road. I often find that the actor playing the driver looks away from the road too much or for periods of time longer than any rational real driver would. |
