Hello everyone, I have come to you all as my last resort. I am having virus issues with my old computer and I want to perform a clean install (as suggested on this show before). The only problem is that I don't have the original disk so I don't know what to do.
It's Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 3 I also have blank disks and a memory stick I can sacrifice for the task. Can you please help me? I would really appreciate it. And if by chance Veronica, Robert, or Patrick sees my post... I love you guys and I love the show. |

Before you reinvent the wheel. consider TRK (Trinity rescue kit) and let it try to clean your machine.

I do have several great antivirus operatating systems and two of them are called linuxmce and mythbuntu Last edited by davisan : 02-26-2011 at 03:43 PM. |

I guess that would make sense, I'll give it a try.

as soon as i set up my computer the way i like it, i take a image of the hard disk, and every few months i do it again.
That way, i can scalp my files, store them elsewhere (of course with scanning), then completely re-image my hard disk. There are plenty of USB bootable virus scanners available for free. AVG, commodo come to mind |
