Default Change in Podcast video encoding? Can't view video on BB 9700

Hi,

I watch the show daily on my subway commute to work.
My RSS reader is set to download the "Totally Rad Show (Quicktime large)" file.
Since (I believe April 26th) my Blackberry 9700, running OS6 has not been able to play the video portion of the podcast. The audio plays fine.
Other shows are not impacted (such as Diggnation, although I download the "Quicktime Small" version of that.

It would be great if the encoding parameters (if changed) could be changed back.

Thanks,

watching on way to work makes me think you are watching it on a small portable device... so am wondering why UR getting the "Large" file. Dont have portable so am wondering.. not attacking (as forum comments can be perceived/become)

Agree that encoding should be changed back... I miss my small wmv files (as a pc user). Rev 3 cant afford a $250 pc to do the wmv encode? pleez

Large makes no sense. It will get scaed back to play on the BB anyway.
Try the feed that is intended for PHONE devices (http://revision3.com/trs/feed/MP4-Small)

yeah... its Mp4 small.. I can watch those on my PC w/o probs because I have VLC installed... and even then.. I think the wmv file size was smaller than the mp4 which was better for us who share net w/ others and gotta wonder about bandwidth caps

I did notice that the MP4s changed last week. For one, they now seem to be missing "poster frame" metadata. (I think it's the poster frame anyway. It's the icon that shows up next to it in the PS3 Media Server.) Which is a shame because I really liked the TRS poster frame.

Hi,

Valid point/question.

The reason why I get the Large version is that I used to push it out to a bigger screen, while sometimes viewing on a small screen. I got the best of both worlds in a single download.

Recently I've been only watching on the small screen of the BB.

Due to that, I decided to switch over to the Small version yesterday, and the video works. So I'll stick with that for now.

But there was definitly a change in the encoder settings.

Thanks,
