Question: Alternate uses of an old BB Storm 1

Lifehacker,
Was wondering if you could give me pointers to use my old unlocked BB Storm 1 (9530) phone.

The OS I am running is 5.x and the UI is quite slow. Any chance of running Linux/android on it to make it a stand by media player?

For now I am using it as my spare phone when I visit other countries. My primary phone is an android.
