Man, even after going through it multiple times in my head, this logic matrix really doesn't feel like it should work. It's like that scene in Labyrinth all over again. I still don't understand that one. |

yo guys , i solved it. but first sorry for my bad english ...
this is the simple explanation. 1P : 2P N + N = 1p N + Y = 2p Y + Y = 1p Y + N = 2p But remember it depends on your first explanation to the both of your friends. that "every character that they choosed (true / liar) they must do exactly as the char, it means Liar should tell the lie , and True should tell the fact". So first off id hate to point out a mistake in the episode but there are actually 8 scenarios that can happen. My conclusion to simplify this is if both of the people have the same answer the first person has the money if they answer different the second person has it.
P1________P2 Q1________Q2 has bill T_________T yes_______yes__P1 T_________L yes_______yes__P1 L_________T no________no___P1 L_________L no________no___P1 __________has bill T_________T no________yes__P2 T_________L no________yes__P2 L_________T yes_______no___P2 L_________L yes_______no___P2 Last edited by steven-peshler : 10-24-2011 at 10:45 PM. arggghhh... I dont remember the scam .. but looking at the responses it looks like its one of those Mathemagic cons... Gawd I hate those.
Maybe not this one... but so many are... "I can guess your number... take that number and add... then multiply.".. yadda yadda... I'd say "NO!, you said you you can read minds so.. guess my number...I'm not gonna jump thru math hoops... whats my number?".. Just sayin'.. Mathemagic is lame |

4 Outcomes (truth or lie teller) x 2 Outcomes (who took it)
T T T L L T L L Ask the first, did you take it? If He Did .. Y Y N N Now you ask the second, did you both pick the same thing? Y Y Y Y N N N N Now you can see how the second person's answer reflects on the first. If the second person says yes, the first person told the truth. If the second person says no, the first person is lying. If the second person took it instead, this would simply be flipped to show the other 4 outcomes. --------------------------------------- Test this .. The first person is truthful, the second is a liar. The second person takes the bill. To person one, did you take it? No To person two, did you both pick the same thing? Yes They answered yes, so the first person is telling the truth, and they didn't take it. The second person took it. Last edited by xaotique : 07-25-2012 at 07:03 PM. |
