WTF!!! Rock and roll hall of fame or i must say SHAME!

As a respectful metal-head, I HATE Guns`n`roses. And their inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame or i must say SHAME!

I swear to the name of god if Guns and roses get in the rock and roll hall of fame, I`m starting a Anti-fan war.

I wrote this the other day and i`m thinking of sending this e-mail. See if anyone can add anymore to this if you fell my anger.


Dear Rock and roll hall of fame.

I’m writing to you in hopes you would reed this in great concern. I am fully aware as a metal head that you have Guns ’N’ roses as one of the inductees. I’m also aware that their number one as of me writing to you.

As much great respect to the Rock and roll hall of fame committee, speaking for a few metal heads around the world. Why did you induct them in?

Yes I do think they got talent, But they waste it to the fullest.

...and they made a rather large impact during the few years/albums they were around. What are the criteria for admittance, and what do you think the criteria should be?

I still think it is a joke, they have country, r&b and other genres in it. Since it is called rock and roll hall of fame ya would think only rockers would be in it. They should just call it Music Hall of Fame. Plus its ran by a group of idiots that only put in groups/people they like.

Impact is fine, they did do that, they can be in the Impact Hall Of Fame. But as far as 'Rock' ?? GNR is just too basic to me. Axl had a cool unique voice, but they still preferred to veer towards the immature, juvenile, simple form of music and the way they represented themselves. Also, they weren't around long. They sold alot of records (what was considered alot at the time) but just because it's been 20 years, doesn't mean it's HoF worthy. I don't think at the time that it would have been assumed they would be later inducted, they 'rocked' hard, but it wasn't like they were the talk of the town for their incredible understanding and execution of rock, not like Tool or someone like that. It was bubblegum rock to me - has grown on me some since, but still, meh.

The Hall of Fame uses a 'whoever we fucking want' method of inducting. Neil Diamond just got inducted, he's made and sold more records than anyone alive. It only took 40+ years for them to notice his industry dominance. I think that's what is the most important criteria, mixed in with what you said - Impact and Consistent Dominance....oh yeah, while making REAL RnR.
