There's a giant poster of this in the subway station and someone ripped the head off of whoever is on the far left (it's not the same one posted above). I think it's Schwarzenegger because he was the only one I noticed missing in it.

I definitely would like to see it. I liked the first one for what it was and this one only ups the ante with the addition of past action stars. Of course I'm a child from the 80s and love the cheesy action classics such as Commando and anything pretty much with Schwarzenegger, First Blood, Running man, Tango and Cash, etc.

I went ahead and bit and bought tickets to Van Dammage. On the 14th the Drafthouse is playing three surprise Van Damme films followed by an advance screening of the Expendables II. I'm not a huge Van Damme fan, but those events can be a lot of fun with pyrotechnic setups in front of the stage and cap gun fights, etc.

For the first one it was Demolition Man, I Come in Peace, Die Hard and then Expendables. Favorite part of the entire night was the contest before Die Hard that had two audience members competing in a race where they crawled across the floor over fake broken glass. First person to make it across the stage won a prize, which was a box of expired breakfast cereal.

Whoops. My bad. I misread the thread title. I thought it was the Jenna Jameson story, "The Expandables".

Just got back from Van Dammage. They showed Bloodsport, Lionheart and Universal Soldier before screening Expendables II.

I really liked it. The movie starts really strong with the best action sequence of the film. I liked the final sequence, but it didn't leave as strong of an impression. If you are interested in seeing the Expendables II, chances are you will enjoy seeing it. It was a lot of fun. Completely ridiculous, things happen that make no damn sense, but it doesn't really matter.

I think overall I liked it better than the first one.

The guys were trying to come up with new people for III. Seagal is the obvious choice, but I think they should up the governor factor and bring in Jesse Ventura.

Also, that asian guy with the receding hair who was a bad guy in every movie. You know the one.

edit: omg and Bolo Yeung! Is he still huge?

Big screen? Meh ... I'll save my $$.

That's why I love the Rave theater near my house...all shows are $5 before 2:00pm, even the newest ones. I'm dragging the wife to see it Saturday late morning. She's thrilled. (/sarcasm) Actually she does love seeing her some Statham.

The better movies we go to the new AMC dine-in "Cinema Suites" theaters. It's more but way more comfortable. I highly recommend them.

Not sure who you are talking about (too many come to mind), but it reminded me that I walked over Mako's star on Hollywood Blvd., the other night.

Remember :
Jeff Speakman
Michael Dudikoff

Not sure why Terry Crews was in it, has he every done an action film? But I'd think they could find a black action star, past or present, if they looked.
