Yeah - for $15,000,000.00
What a loser ...

Digg will be next. G+ needs it.
Wonder what that will go for?

I don't get what he is a sell out for? His business had value and was approached by a larger business for a buyout. So he is suppose to tell some one no thanks to millions of dollars? He did what most people would have done. Its a smart move because he will pocket a few million and still collect a hefty salary from Google doing the exact same thing he does now.

Calling someone a sell out is loser speak for "I'm jealous."

Default I still like the guy!

I would have done the exact same thing. Besides, his Oink app wasn't exactly a raging success yet it showed what Kevin could do (kinda like a resume). Milk was only a stepping stone in his career in the tech industry.

Hopefully Kevin doesn't get lost in the Google mosh pit and those that care will still be able to follow his achievements.

i think every company should have a kevin on their team. he spent years complaining about how companies design things and now he is in a position to make those fixes. I predict google's products will be getting much better is they let him do his thing.

Google already has a lot of "Kevins" on their team. They hire/buy competition, cannibalise them, and bury the remains.

I don't wish Kevin and the Milk team (especially Daniel Burka - who, lets face it, is the brains behind the operation, and the real win for Google) any ill will at all. They didn't sell out, they traded up.

i just think it's funny how he was making milk out to be the next greatest thing and then all of a sudden it's done and people are out of work while he makes bank.

There were maybe 10 employees, It's not like they are living in a cardboard box on the streets, they all made money in the acquisition.

The employees were the product bought. Google did not buy the company for its technology, it bought Milk for the people.
