240Hz clear motion default question
I recently bought a 60" Samsung LED-LCD TV, and while I am still very happy with the picture quality, I have decided (like most other people, I suspect) that the whole "Clear Motion" or "Auto Motion Plus" feature in the TV is not for me. I am able to turn it off in the TV picture settings, but I've found that once the TV is powered down, the Auto Motion Plus is re-enabled the next time the TV is powered on. To add to the strangeness, when I go back into the TV picture settings, the Auto Motion Plus is still listed as "Off" (even though I can visually see it is on). Only after I set it to "smooth" (or any option) and then back to "off" does it disable the effect.
During a talk with a Samsung rep, I found out that if the Auto Motion Plus feature is set to "Off" during power down, it resets to "Smooth" on power up. This is, as they say, "by design". What I want to know is, is there any way to permanently disable the Auto Motion Plus feature? Be it through the service menu or other means, I want it gone!
Thanks,
-=Tygh=-
