Shatter glass effect for Sony Vegas Pro 9

I've searched everywhere, and even here. All I keep finding are pre-render glass shattiner vids that want you to Chroma Key out just the color. I'm looking for a plug-in, or how to, or just anything, on how to get this done. It seem the entire internet is just taking the easy way out with his effect. I don't mind... in fact I want to... put in the hard work myself and make it. I just can't seem to find the tools. Can anyone help

What is it you are trying to accomplish? Are you trying to simulate shattering glass? If so, what kind? Drinking glass, window, etc?
