how big a deal is the NYCC? is it on par with the SDCC? i've never been to a con myself so i have no idea what the scale of something like this this is all about

CON NEWS - full wrapup to come but this first
I saw the FUNNIEST THING EVER We went to the Vertigo panel, and you know that scene in Chasing Amy with the 'What's a Nubian?' question - well, it was like that but without gunfire. Panel opens - 45 seconds pass Asian guy in the front row jumps up and starts SCREAMING at BKV because he's racist against Asians. I shit you not. After about 5 minutes of screaming 'Yellow Pride' and calling Karen Berger(I think) all kinds of filthy names, he was dragged out by 8, yes 8, security dorks. At this point I say real loud(I'm in the first row), Mr Vaughn, What's a Nubian? The rest of the panel was wicked ****ed because nobody could really get their bearings after that. It was stunning
