Ok ,
I figured I would make one of my first posts here a question... Ive decided I am going to run Boot Camp on my new iMac and dugg out a copy of XP from 2002 that I recieved for free from a developers confrence. Now Im pretty new to Macs, but am pretty good with PCs. I know BootCamp currently only wants XP with sp2 intalled on the partition.. I also know there is a way to create an XP sp2 install disk using a 'SlipStream Method" Ive never done it before, but from what I understand is it works. QUESTION: Is there away to create a install disk using the SlipStream method using only my Mac? I would prefer to do it all on my Mac....Ive Googled it a couple of times with no direct answer. Help would be appreciated! Thanks! -Marshall |

sorry, but I'm pretty sure you'll need to get your hands on an XP box for a little while to make the disc. It requires some windows specific dos commands
head over to a friends place and try this out http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...slipstream.asp |

why get it off BT when they have a perfectly legal copy to use? WGA is a ***** and there is no point in sticking your neck out if you don't have to. once you get a job you'll find things are a lot nicer when you aren't spending your whole day hacking and cracking to keep from getting found out. I'm not justifying the cost MS charges, I think its ungodly for the quality of their product, but if they already have it, why not use it. |
