jeff touched on it bit in the 'chew on this' segment when he mentioned he hadnt had more fun than doing co-op on legendary
so the question is, what is the most fun or greatest achievement you've had while playing a video game? mine would be beating Gears on Insane in co-op without playing it on casual or hardcore first. |

Something about video games doesn't make me feel that accomplished. However, back in the day I was quite a Pacman champ.
I must have spent a couple of hundred dollars getting there but, in several games I got to the ninth key. That's like level 22. The monsters don't change any more and I never did discover a pattern for it. Rumor has it that the same pattern will work until level 256 when the game crashes. I've never got beyond key 9.

Says the man posting on an internet message board...........
I kid, I kid.Not my greatest accomplishment, but my most rewarding/fun was playing NHL Hitz with my best friend for hours and laughing at the dumb stuff the announcers say. |

Well, I love me some video games. But such things could not be compared with dragging my ass up a mountain, walking across a stage to collect my Ph.D. or helping the doctor deliver my new-born daughter.

When you say 'accomplishments' do you mean feats that others would consider accomplishments or just things which you personally would even if others don't understand? If it's the latter then I have a ton, if it's the former then I can only think of one at the moment. Which was winning the final round in a CS tourney single handedly after the rest of my team was massacred.
As for the ones that I consider accomplishments which other might not understand and which have huge amounts of back story... -Finishing the first water level of Mario 1 by myself. -Making a sneak attack on my firend's Capital city in Heroes of Might and Magic 2 during an epic sleep over. -Beating Baldur's Gate the first time. -Multiple Risk battles, both with the board game and the PC version. -Getting a perma ban from the iSketch servers (technically not a video game, but it is a game)... which may not sound like a good thing, but it totally was. But to be fair, that was a group effort, and a tremendously fun time. ...OK, so a 'ton' worked its way down to five, but to this day those five still make me smile. Since they weren't the original topic, I'll leave the "life accomplishments" for another thread. ![]() |
