This is a question for the TRS guys, as well as the forum peeps.
This is gonna be a massive summer at the theater, potentially the highest grossing of all time. So, which of these flicks just doesn't get your goat? There are a few I have reservations on- Transformers (for Bay purposes), Fantastic Four 2 (Silver Surfer, YAY! Everything else...), Halloween (Have you read the script?). Yet I do have some level of excitement to see them. The one film that will probably make a ton of money, and people will love, but leaves me with zero anticipation, is Evan Almighty. Now, I love the Office, and I like Steve Carell, but the trailers and premise leave me hearing crickets. How about y'all?

Pretty much agree with all yours. At the same time, I've never been a fan of any of those series(though I liked Bruce Almighty at the time), so I wouldn't put those on my list. I'm just indifferent to them, basically.
But my big one is Die Hard. Just not a fan of the movies at all. I don't think the title could be any worse, either. I was having this discussion with my friends the other day, and ultimately, there are certain films that I just don't buy the hype on. |

I have yet to jump on the spiderman bandwagon. I didn't like the first movie, wasn't excited about the second so I'm all ho-hum for the third installment.
Based on me having a softspot for unashamed dumb movies, I liked both Badboys, Armageddon and even the Island, and I think Transformers should rock. Even if bumblebee isn't a bug and I doubt the dancing Citroen has a bit, it should still be balls out action and fun ![]() Beside the X-men I didn't care for any comicbook based movie. Shrek 3 I don't care for either.

Spiderman 3, Pirates 3 and Shrek 3, because all of their predecessors are very medicore films.
As for Transformers, I have absolutely no reservations about it. I've accepted the fact it's not going to be a live-action mirror image of the original cartoon, but there's enough iconic Transformers imagery in there for me to accept it as a Transformers movie. Also, I loved The Island and Bad Boys 2, so I know Bay is capable of entertaining me, so I'll remain positive.

Pirates 3 is absolutely one of my most anticipated. I thought the first two were as good as any escapism you could get from movies, and the trailer for the third looks positively epic. Somehow Gore Verbinski makes massive scale filmmaking look easy, and he's definitely put himself in elite company with the Pirates films.

I definately thought people in here would be highly anticipating Spiderman 3, but you all seem to agree with me that this is the "block buster" that I'm not waiting for. As has been mentioned, the first one was kinda bad but had novelty value....the second was just bad....why should 3 be any better?

I don't think I'll be excited to see the one with that chick from that show. You know the one ... right?
