With all the talk in the SWG thread, I figured I had better ask: what MMOs are you playing now, if any?

I should note that I am currently DDOing. I wonder if Alex is still wandering around one of the servers...

I'm a WoWer mainly. But I havn't paid the monthly fee, so my account isn't even active, lol. I have Guild Wars too, which is fun, but it's been a while since I've played that too, mainly because my internet connection is too unreliable to play anything online for more than an hour(if that).

If my Windows machine still worked I'd be playing DAoC still and would probably check out Vanguard since I've heard good things about it. EQ is still my favorite PvE game and every few years I've found myself back there. But Camelot has the best PvP I've seen on any game.
I just found WoW to be too boring after time. Maybe it was because I never found a solid player base to surround myself with but I also never got that into any of the toons I created. I've tried horde and alliance but none of the classes were as fun to other games I've played. In EQ I've played a warrior, druid, paladin, rogue, and mage to high levels with several other classes in the mid levels. I truly enjoyed playing those. On Camelot it was a druid, bard, and bainshee that I loved to play. Camelot just had a lot to offer compared to WoW. The sieges were a lot of fun regardless of what class I found myself playing. As I stated in the other thread, I'm still interested in checking out Warhammer when it's finally released. But until I get my PC fixed I'm dead in the water. It's sad too because if WoW was fun to me I'd reopen my account and just play on my mac. |

I've played EQ, FFXI, WOW and I tried the beta for Lord of the Rings Online and right now I"m trying the SWG 14 day trial which I'm enjoying so far. WOW is the one I stuck with the longest but I'm just sick of it now. I used to be the type where I would play for 4-6 months then take 4-6 months off and repeat. I really enjoyed it from level 1-35 but after that I hate the damn game. I don't know why really. I just got fed up with people taking the damn game so freaking seriously. I'm the type that just wants to goof off. I also think it is because I couldn't find a core group of players to party with as well.

None, I soon realised that paying a regular fee to improve virtual numbers through (mainly) repetitive tasks really isn't worth my time.
