Universal Day of the Jedi
I know this may seem very geeky to post about, but is anyone going to celebrate this on Friday?
For those that don't know Friday, May 25, 2007 is the 30th anniversary of Star Wars coming out on film.

I saw it during its opening release.
With my parents. At a drive in. In the back seat of a Chrsyler Valiant. As a double feature with Freaky Friday. The whole night is still a vivid memory AND I get chils and a tear in my eye when I hear the opening score. Man I love that movie, and the purests will hate my, but I especially like the special editions on DVD, EXCEPT for the end of Return of the Jedi with the "celebration scene" and "anakin skywalker" inserts. Hmmm .... I know what is going on the idiot box tonight.

Okay, it's time to break out the toy lightsabers for the big day. When my friends and I went to see episode 3, we almost got thrown out of the theatre's midnight showing for having crazy, death-defying lightsaber battles both in the parking lot and in the theatre.

I going to wait for the 30'th year anniversary of November 4, 2002.
Which as everyone knows is the day the Star Wars Kid was originally taped. This by the way is the best remake of him EVA!
