Sadly No you cant, unless you record the sound from the video. But the broken kinda needs the video. With diggnation video is nice, but isent required. But with the broken, you kinda wanna see what is going on.

You can watch video on a iPod nano however that will involve you installing some sort of iPod Linux on it. Im not sure which is the best distro out there for this however I know there are several wiki pages on the topic so getting info on it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I have heard from people that the UI in iPod Linux blows though.

Personally, if I was you I would just suck it up and buy the video iPod (they did just come down in price after all). If you are going to buy one I would wait a while before buying though. I have a feeling that the much rumored touch screen iPod will make an appearance this holiday season.

Actually IDK if this works with the nano, but for the video ipod there is a way to listen to strictly the audio of any video podcast. You just have to go to the audio podcast section in your ipod and it will have all audio and the audio of video podcasts and you can listen to them all.

The problem is though, the video format isn't supported in the Nano.

If you are on Windows you could try this: Easy Video to Audio Converter even though it looks like a Mac app. Weird.

I'm sure there are freeware apps that can do this, but I don't know of a good place to look for windows apps.

But if you wanna pay for an app, might as well go Quicktime Pro. Can do this and so much more. And if you have a Mac you could make an automator workflow, and have it happen automatically.

If you have a recent Mac with iLife, you might be able to do this with Garageband. Might be able to use Automator with this too.
