Hello All,
Im new here, but even in comparison with most everyone else I'm new to the whole TECH genre........... I'm not young by any means, but I have only recently been exposed to the TECH of the Internet, Video and Computers in general and thanks to shows such as this one, I wouldn't have the small amount of knowledge I have now................ So keep up the good work GigaOmerz and I hope to see ya'll around for a while.....................

Hey!

Just found this site while searching for new gigs for testing, etc.

Way cool!

me?

tratidional studio artist, just finished my MA in Arts & Technology at
UT Dallas (video, gaming, v/env's, etc) and starting the teacher
cert class to pass the tests for technology and art.

Looks v. v. v. nice - esp enjoy the show,

all the best to all invovled! (tips towel to Om and Joyce, and
*of course* "all the people behind the scenes" - usually, i'm a prop,
occasionly in front of the camera/stage.

-- Frank.

And of course, --42--.

Default Hi guys..

The GigaOm show is outstanding. I wouldn't change a thing. Your hosts are well spoken, intelligent and professional. Your topics are interesting and informative. Your guests are fresh and relevant. I just watched 8 shows in a row and was never bored once. Thank you so much... there is only so much beer drinking and green-screen antics I can take. Keep up the great work.

Mel.

..(erk. sorry posted a reply to this thread by mistake).. Zathras fix: ...(moves post)...

Concerning Ms. Swisher and the WSJ - it's an un-believably powerful entity in the entire world - of course 90% of the earth's population (see map) *doesn't* any stock (of the trading kind, but *does* have a stock in the future).

.. this was left in and then SK posted the following...

Yes, hardly anyone in the world owns stocks. But we all depend on them directly so much, because our banks, companies, and even governments are so heavily invested in the market. Also, regulators like the Fed (wrongfully) use the market as a major factor in making decisions on how to regulate the economy.(even though they usually try to write off their decisions as based on something else...)

Sorry to have hi-jaced this thread....

and oddly enough the whole idea of stocks was to help companies to start up when people (usual the wealthier ones) saw the potential of a company and such - now they are usually leverage to buy out a company so as to raid it for its customer base, products, or just to close it up and elminate the competition.

No you're not FrankLeeding, or you'd not have carried this 'Off Topic' conversation on.

Next time, may I suggest that you consider starting a new thread and inviting others to discuss in depth, someplace else.

On Topic again:
Hi all I'm Unimaginative, I enjoy technology and in staying informed. I enjoy web based technology shows. Naturally Revision3 is a magnet for the informed geek.

I'd been visiting GigOm daily, so I was pleased to see Om front up here. Joice is a pleasant surprise and ads to a great co-dynamic. The two hosts are opposites in many ways, so hearing their respective viewpoints is useful and enjoyable.

Keep up the great work guys.

Hey, I'm new around here. I'm somewhat new to business, so I'm hoping to learn a thing or two. I'm working on a serious record label currently which may not relate to a lot of the discussion here, but I'm still interested as to where I should invest my money, and of course I love new technology. Now its time to catch up on some old episodes!
