Wow, the animation looks slick! Can they tell the whole story in 70 minutes?

Superman's Death and Ressurection? (don't know if they mention this in the second vid, I don't get sound here at work.)

I think the 70 minutes was referring to the special features.

Just watched the JLU adaptation of "For The Man Who Has Everything." One of those stories that you give to people who don't like/understand Superman and just say "Here he is." Actually moving.

The movie itself is 70 minutes long. That's the run time they are aiming for for all of the DC animated movies.

As he explained in an interview to Newsarama, the story of the Direct-To-DVD (or DTV) will be of the entire trilogy of The Death of Superman, World Without a Superman, & Reign of the Superman. But it was be simplified and remove many things that would be too much to explain in a 70 minute feature.

But I think the bonus features are also around the 70 minute mark.

From what I've read, the second two parts are drastically different then the comic book counter parts. I believe Superboy, Steel, Eradicator and Cyborg Supes have been eliminated completely from the story.

I would expect that to be the case. They aren't really necessary to the story being told.

True, but I was really hoping to see a Bruce Timm designed Cyborg Superman or Eradicator.

I'd love to have something like this on my toy shelf...
