Default Purple videos?

I have home theater pc built with Windows XP Pro, and just with this stream (wmv large) the video is purple. I'm playing it in Windows Media player. If i open it in vlc its fine in vlc. If i pause it in vlc and keep it open i can watch any ep and they are all fine. Unfortunately i cant watch it in vlc, i have to use windows media player. Anyone else have this problem?

I would suggest reinstalling Windows Media Player and making sure it's up to date.

Do you happen to play Steam games such as Counter Strike or Day of Defeat?
