I would go with Samsung. I have a Samsung, the interface is great, the quality is great, and it might be cheaper than VIZIO.

You should probably move this post to the HD Nation forums

I would go with the VIZIO, and here is why. the VIZIO is 1080p, it has got a good speaker system, it is cheap and a response time of 6.5ms is kind of a minimal. One thing I noticed about the Samsung, is that it's aspect ratio is 16:10 which is not true widescreen. 16:9 is true widescreen. ignore the contrast ratio, it won't matter much unless you have a super bright room.

look at them side by side.
the samsung wins hands down in picture quailty, but the vizio is not far behind, and excellent bang for buck.
sony missed the boat on this one.

720 versus 1080 really only matters if you have a huge screen and sit close. Otherwise, telling the difference between the 2 would be hard to do.

Also, maybe check out Best Buy's house brand -- the Dynex. They look great to me and are only $329 for a 720p 32 inch model. It's what I have.

Like I said before, watch out for that Samsung because its aspect ratio is 16:10 and 16:9 is true wide screen. on the Samsung TV the HD broadcast will have black bars at the bottom and top. it is wasted space.
