In-flight Wi-Fi is becoming more expected all the time - we want to stay productive in the air! Here's a look at how American Airlines installs the systems.

When a new plane arrives at the American Airlines maintenance hangar, the first thing they do is dig in to install the Wi-Fi. The antenna goes into the luggage hold, so a few things need to be removed before installation.
There's an antenna on the bottom of the plane, and one on top. The guy who installs the one on the bottom gets to sit in a chair, but the guy installing on the top rides a thing they call Godzilla! There's a lot of stuff on top of a plane, and I let you know what it all does.
Inside the plane, in very tight quarters, the computer equipment gets installed. Not just a great place for packing tech, it looks like a nice place for a nap!
The final piece of the puzzle is in the cockpit, where the first officer's seat actually has to be removed to complete installation.
