Television networks want to get you even more involved with their programming and they plan to use social media to do it!

TV's been trying to integrate with social media for a while now, but judging by the strong message coming out of last month's National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas, the push is just beginning.
One strategy is to feed social content related to your shows to tablets, making them a second screen to bring a social experience to your viewing.
For a lot of people, live sports is what makes them hang onto their cable subscription. Sports programming has already done a lot with social media, but there's room for much more.
This is all coming your way - how do you feel about it? Would social integration enhance the viewing experience and make you more likely to watch? Or would it just distract from the program?
