Is Technorati up for sale?

Technorati's new CEO, Richard Jalichandra, on blog search, tracking 250 million pieces of tagged social media and not becoming 'just another Web 2.0 site'
Article:
Currently, Technorati tracks 112.8 million blogs and over 250 million pieces of tagged social media. Quite impressive, but will Technorati become another Web 2.o social networking website? Richard Jalichandra replies, "Just the fact that people are following conversations, there's a social piece of that. Our heritage is always going to be in blog search... one of the major initiatives is that we're doing a major overhaul of the search infrastructure."
Is Technorati up for sale? Jalichandra strongly believes, "Back to basics, you build a great business and things kind of take care of themselves. If you think about the other stuff, you just can't operate a business like that."
Hitlines:
1 - Microsoft's bid for Yahoo: Proxy war?
We all know that Yahoo's board officially rejected Microsoft's generous acquisition bid, but what's next for the 500-pound Redmond gorilla? Microsoft now has the ability to take it to the shareholders. In turn, this strategy is called a proxy war. The power shift definitely changes the paradigm, however, we'll have to wait and see what happens.
