3D Printer Calibration
Shannon discusses common problems associated with 3D printing and how to fix those issues.

1. No filament is extruding
A. First, check the gears on top (clean out gear of excess filament), check filament isn't caught, and check sizing in Repetier. Do a test print by heating to 230 and squeezing some filament out of extruder. To clean, remove the extruder nozzle and use pliers or piano wire on any excess filament. Make sure not to damage nozzle! Soak extruder in acetone to clean out anything left (don't use nail polish remover).

2. Heat bed doesn't heat to 70.
A. Verify the computer is reading the correct temp w/ an external temperature gun. Try a different power supply. Move printer to a room with no AC. Insulate the bottom of the heat bed.

3. ABS doesn't stick to print bed so filament just bunches up.
A. Use Aquanet purple hair spray or blue tape on the heat bed. You can also dissolve ABS in acetone and paint that onto your heat bed.
