Do HDTVs vary much from set to set, or can you use the calibration settings from another set... Gail wants to know if you can use HDTV calibration settings created with HDTVs, such as reviews of the model you own. Can LG, Samsung, or Sony Blu-ray players play back ISO files? Make MKV! Matroska Files, aka .MKV might be your best choice for encoding video.
Gail writes in, "Occasionally I come across a review of the TV I own with the settings after calibration given. Can these settings be used to set up my TV or do TVs vary enough from set to set that it doesn't really equate?" We've got the answer in the video... and it might be a shortcut for you to get your HDTV set up if somebody's posted the info on the AVS Forum!
