Robert Heron's checking out all the new home cinema and HDTV gear at CEDIA this week. Our beloved producer Roger Chang cohosts this week. What's he been watching in hi-def? Some of the most beautiful HD video you can get. It's free PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) OTA like Nova, Nature and Carrier, Life Aboard the USS Nimitz! All you need is an antenna if you're in range.

If you haven't seen 'em yet, the freshly upated Hubble Telescope (Wide Field Camera 3 FTW!) is turning out some goregous pictures of space, and NASA is making lots of 'em available in high resolution.... they can really show off your monitor!

It turns out video camera in Apple's new iPod Nano isn't HD... but we definately want to get Netgear's Digital Entertainer Live, aka the EVA200 along with the Popcorn Hour C-200 in for review. We know you want to see more media tank/set top boxes/video players on HD Nation! (Our buddy Mark Hachman at PCMag.com has a review of the EVA 2000 to hold ya over!)

Playstation 3. Often seen as just a game machine the PS3 has made a name for itself amongst videophiles as a superb Blu-Ray player for its speed and ease of upgrade.

And with the release of the Playstation 3 Slim, you can Bitstream Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. If you've got the right audio gear you can get lossless surround audio off Blu-ray titles that feature it. (And it plays games, too!)
