The son of a former Catholic nun and an ex-pool hustler, Andrew Bancroft grew up in the woods of Maine. In the Bay Area, Andrew has spent years writing, performing and directing with the comedy troupes Killing My Lobster and Illbilly Productions. He wrote and starred in Illbilly’s latest film Evolution: the Musical!, which will be featured in the 2008 San Francisco International Film Festival. He moonlights as a rapping pastry named Jelly Donut. Jelly D took the Oakland battle rap scene and Internet by storm, and his beef with UK hip-hop star Lady Sovereign was coverred on Mtv’s TRL. Andrew has also been featured in Rolling Stone, TIME, Blender, and across the blogosphere. Andrew is currently a copywriter at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners working on TV and web projects such as Milk’s White Gold campaign.
