When Cali was eight years old, the love of technology grabbed hold of her when she saw her mom pounding away on the keyboard of a word processor for the first time. Cali made her mom teach her how to type, and that was it! Then she discovered Nintendo at her dad's house. She spent her mornings before everyone else woke up playing Super Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt. When she was fourteen, she started learning how to code HTML and built her first website from scratch. She dabbled in ASP and Java at the time, and now CSS and PHP of course. Prior to GeekBeat.TV, Cali co-created Geek Brief, one of the first video podcasts in 2005, which ran until 2010. She also co-hosts Wealth Nation and speaks across the country about social media, technology and the future of technology at corporate events and conferences/expos.
