About David "Gweedz" Guida
David has spent more than a decade working as a writer/producer crafting promos and short-form documentaries for various cable networks and new media outlets, all while evangelizing the arrival and integration of interactive television. Having attended the Bronx High School of Science and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for Film/TV, he combines technical and creative artistry with a deep understanding of all things nerdtacular.
By day, David is Senior Producer at g-NET Media, America's leading videogame-related marketing and entertainment company. Recently he has worked on the official trailers and developer diaries for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Dante's Inferno, Alpha Protocol, No More Heroes 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Avatar: The Game, inFamous, and LittleBigPlanet. He is also the lead producer of Sci vs. Fi, which premiered its Mass Effect 2 episode in January 2010 on SyFy. In 2009, he was awarded top honors in the "Best Video" category of the Mi6 awards for his work on the Gears of War 2 and Dead Space campaigns.
On The Game Show, he has affectionately adopted the rude and gross role of"Gweedz" where he brings a colorful mix of editorial commentary, industry analysis, and Pac-Man collector's items to the "blue square."
