Are you looking to spread some graphic novel love this holiday season? This year, iFanboy is here to help you with your shopping. There are all kinds of people out there, and Ron, Josh, and Conor are convinced that there's a comic book for every one of them.

If you want a graphic novel that has some gravitas, check out Joe Sacco's Safe Area Gorazde, chronicling the author's time in Bosnia. The guy who loves classic war comics is really going to love Will Eisner's Last Day in Vietnam. If it's all out action and conspiracy they're looking for, then The Losers is the book you're looking for.

But there are books with female characters as well! There's a feature film, but before the movie was Marjane Satrapi's graphic novel, Persepolis. Yet another book is Strange Girl. A romantic comedy in comic form is Shenanigans. A classic underground comic called Ghost World is good for anyone who liked the movie.

A nearly perfect gift for anyone who watched the Real World when it was still good has to be Pedro and Me.

Comics are for younger people too though! Young ladies might not be aware of Minx's The Plain Janes. A young (or old) fantasy fan will probably get a big kick out of both Mouse Guard and Bone. If you're trying to hook kids on reading superhero comics, you could do a lot worse than X-Men: First Class.

For the much younger, check out the impossibly cute Owly. Finally, a great way to indoctrinate kids into Marvel Comics is Franklin Richards: Son of a Genius.

Now get out there, and show people how good comics can be!

Be sure to head over to our forum or ifanboy.com to discuss this episode.

If you have questions you can email us at: contact@ifanboy.com. Or you can call us at 1-888-FANBOYS (326-2697) and leave us a voicemail. Tell us who you are and where you're from. And make 'em good, we might just read your e-mail or play your voicemail on a future episode!!

The lovely book that regular difficult shenanigans and published by alimony press and it was written by Ian Shaughnessy and drama Mike Holmes. And this is essentially a romantic comedy that it's it's it's involved screwball comedy gets a little authorities fifties kind of romantic romp what you've got is you've got a guy he's on his girlfriend and having a hard time with the communication. With the relationships -- he decides to dawn who can't relate to that he decides to Donna costume of an Irish in -- Who is asked her to tutor him. And kind of feel like you don't relate kind of feel like kind of did the living in a ghost world where you know agenda will know we hang up by the art. Section of school in the you know we know they're out there to connect with us."

Yet -- it's it's such -- trying not to openly weeping on the -- which has a lot to do with a winning its ability to. To depict something they don't very touching and very honest you know what's on every single page of -- is that he'd love to this. Yet that's like it seeps through to every single page that he was he just loved his best friend."

" And what was presented it turns on the is back that is the real world into something that is culturally significant improvement you know that I drew criticism if -- my sister -- of -- fact that -- going to. -- this I don't. That it isn't fantastic yet."

" The fifth yeah. Great benefit it's fantastic and it's so I have not at any given little sister. I didn't exist. And comics are typically for boys parade in like superheroes and something that. I'll accept that -- function yeah exactly but. DC DC loss of -- Thomas told me that makes one books which are which are. Purposely pointed that the kind of team preteen kind of girl I think and ironically. We love them too. -- Readers are there any kind of thing that had it for Larry I don't know that comic stories but there telling they're they're not heroes not -- have stuff they're kind of you know almost like young adult fiction. You know that that is very popular library my -- is electable why books about that. And the first woman images I think every the first woman came out that was actually my favorite line is five or six some of the come -- Was the plane gains but she's the best solution to -- And similar to ghost world -- bit -- you know not -- are about guard. It's -- said so disillusioned girls and in high school don't really fit in with each other but they're all named gene and so they they can come together as a group. And one girl lacking inspirational like decides to take her report -- and start doing -- account with art. And so -- spontaneously putting art installations around the town. Pissing off the authorities and and nobody knows who they aren't they kind of mystery and ultimately has to do with the main characters come to grips with her life she's moved away from the city to the suburbs and kind of let that that helplessness and apparel powerlessness that you feel --"

" that's there and lose issues. -- there's a bomb cafes rise that facility -- ideally that is Slobodan Padilla. Yeah exactly so but it's really really good and it's just like -- I wish I knew. Some teenage girls. But to give -- the book."

" I didn't but I like to give -- that's because space is almost. But he notices that the business it. There's also going to be a sequel yes this is obviously any of the main slide it that there -- all male of female main characters are about girls yeah this is the author of this season cast which is -- Successful wire and a long time so submit an integrated -- it really government's books would work. -- I've got this guy yet. -- about both politically and look at. He loved Lord of the Rings really did happen then I books written I do. Now scarred. Scarred by David --"

" Then published by our case -- just press mom recently the first four issue series of Clinton and a beautiful hardcover. It's very much in the vein of the fantasy kind of Lord of the Rings -- what you got as he got living under foot under beneath us is a whole society of mice. And they're very kind of penalty futile the medieval almost cynical yet that some sort of secret like mean a."

" The -- words. Do you know I don't know predecessor basically it's that is an -- might miss the next quote exactly and -- with. Nice cat wouldn't how sort of attractive people exactly and now -- now started telling the -- of these kind of intense thing in and you see -- possibly amounts guards folks think I'm an older one. And it's just that mandates and and art is beautiful. It's very -- and whimsical and -- and then that's not it is another. He had no exodus of the art arises like zaireans. They artist this classical yet classic the last war and yeah it's very it's actually very fantasy illustration and I and yet but but I don't think it's an update a little bit. You know like it doesn't feel modern color in the 'cause the right. -- easy -- well yeah it beta it's funny because you take these mice and you ground them in reality a little bit with the artist yeah yeah."

" There's this is great for anybody what's fantasy Hillary is what kind of -- the big break -- book I think yeah yeah that exactly but. But if it doesn't like the same thing but they have a lot more time on there. Bone. And dignity by Jackson did this is seems daunting because it's so thick -- forty pounds and it -- forty pounds but it does come on -- single kind of you know volume kind of broken up this in the -- kind of bargain this is a -- this is the complete."

" Behind the bones and a similar amount starred in kind of fantasy kind of story but. Less realistic and more. Cute cuddly."

" I was saying that does it's scary and it does get a little dark it does it'll darkness but what -- what what it is that follows these Carriker bone."

" And his Brothers phony bone and bone bone as they've been shut out of their hometown and phone bill. And and they kind of wander into -- valley where this where this kind of again kind of medieval culture exists in their farmers of the town and and stuff like that."
