This week iFanboy delves once more into their collective storehouse of comics and graphic novels to bring you recommendations for books you might not have known about. Ron chimes in with one of his lifelong favorites, and tells us about the first Savage Dragon Collection. Josh makes his apologies to the creators of Scalped Volume 1: Indian Country. Finally, Conor rediscovers how good Gotham Noir was when he first read it. Basically they're just talking about a stack of good comics.

But I've heard a lot of good things about since then -- the trade came out of Saddam jump back on the trains and and he's been a big -- look at some. You know what I thought yeah because she's really quite good calm and peace. It's good in a way it is not like 100 bullets -- in that there's a very clear storyline port tell people what store next door to what you have is. If yeah there's is an Indian reservation and the big Bosnian -- chief of the tribe headed the -- they're about to put up which is going to. Apparently was the war for a little while just that he's kicking everybody's -- the big boss man hires. And then the twisted in the first issue and and yet not is that he's BI agent so he's there undercover. But the whole story is about who he really wit that is the -- easily viewed the reluctant anti heroes and he's not entirely likable and ended."

" Is he really with it via digital that guy's lips of his heritage does it look at who you -- to this despite higher examines paying him. It's really. Violence it but it's not like gratuitously violent things."

" it's that this is not a kid's book it it's like whatever it basically what it's done is an -- I don't know how much research -- or whatever they're basically their reservation where these people live is just. Horrible -- that's it right there's ridiculously high unemployment and is huge alcoholism rates and -- It's basically taken the -- American urban -- put into a native American context so right for everybody sort of anti social and then nobody can talk about any thing and and that sort of is hopeless senate where where restart that and one of the things that it really stood out and about this book is that. The plot is not the most original thing ever it's almost exact same thing and some pictures on Showtime's sleeper cell. Almost exactly some things that can really good. But there's a feeling. On that is in the writing and in the artwork. And it is this feeling of of tension of of this constant looking over your shoulder and -- constant nervous energy and if you know if you if you were like. Just everything's coming after all the time in their bullets on every corner and and just like the whole thing like obviously each."

" And everybody has got a secret everybody's -- darkness thing going to pass that red hiding something everybody you."

" You're reading this this is a Prius hybrid buses and a current position seriously though my concern now I'm thinking about this -- trade -- only two or three issues could catch up to -- that's actually -- written this this nurturing goes on their five. When you see this appliances will be on -- The public actually of them are shortly it's easy catch up on yeah there's Denver go unheard of is all about and trade programs are really. You can read it like this in the news get the next traitor whatever they always pressed her first trades at like ten bucks -- which -- beautiful thing to get smart smart vaccination to bust nation if you want to look at that point. And that's what -- really."

" Well artwork. By armed era. Who I don't I'm not familiar with -- at first it seems a little money and I think in the dark there it's very dark but actually that fits the story on. I think it in the very first television series the story teller machines where I think that they weren't how to work together it's getting better as we go through it."

" And goodness look at if first."

" It it did seem kind of room and now -- going forward is becoming just thing it's there is. She's a vertical book stick and as we talked about I mean he's heard of it has that intangible qualities like this this is where it belongs and if you like vertigo books in the past. That hard bitten -- if you like 100 bullets but you also want to know what the hell's going on this bonds doesn't look for use as -- hundred bullets and -- in terms of vertigo tour yet there's that it's had quite a little a little easier problem. -- Also this -- happens and I said that our work captures that feeling of intensity so well on its very. Some loose but it sketchy and it's kind day. It's really great in congress by. Job if you bullet is a great I was on the inside."

" Yeah. Yeah well then since then I've got weird for me it's really and this. The new sponsor was. Yeah Netflix and and templates that god is guys our favorite place to go for movies this should be yours -- the -- it would never got netflix.com slash iFanboy. Is the place you go to get two week free trial where you Nicholas is that in the movies you watch it keep talking wants him back there's no it sees this fast shipping. We you know it's very it's just very convenient for the modern movies. Renting now rent from stores and."

" I'm a minute customer Netflix instant 2000 get yourself back and the yellow envelope and read them. It's -- it's great so."

" So if you -- Netflix is live plant starting -- port any 98 go from one will be a must read time and and we'd love at netflix.com class act and work."

" Cool and if you have any I'm on the Internet needs is need to register. Name we need to simple website or blog -- and get email that's sort of thing he had ever godaddy.com. Going to come is the is the honestly the best place to register domain names and manage all your kind of -- infrastructure kind of things that your take. So you go to www. godaddy.com music about put iFanboy and Japan can get 10% off your on your initial order which is very cool very convenient for what it's CNN."

" The question is how ugly could this head over to godaddy.com --"

" I went to talk about. That's not bad Matt -- rules but to have a these. I -- about one of the times it seems like look at. That -- to -- which is -- maker of 2001 and it's by three guys that we hardly ever talk about Ed Brubaker. Ed Brubaker operatic Shaun Phillips on the art and Dave Stewart mr. colorized selection team in this big technically it happened -- and they did in the did this is this is the fact that this is health world satisfied that's where you take. You know the the belt -- this book was told that DC line they took -- pictures that are familiar to put an unfamiliar situations and times are scenarios. And this is. Got some city in in 1940s Anwar's sex. And the main character is Jim Gordon and he is here he's -- cop he's a private guy you know is a drunk. He's he's he's lost his wife and daughter and he's bent down and out and then you know Selena Kyle walks into his office and -- the case. That goes from there bat and it and it but he's only -- it. Completely silhouettes in ever actually see and it always has completely black arrives. And -- some familiar faces. Harvey dent and the joke which opened it and it's an assault from a realistic nor important. And others that a murder of -- beautiful girl is -- fluid and it's actually. It gets really Darden and this sort of -- this circumstance of the and a murderer released. Screw if you -- and the congress kind of in that -- and this I -- time baker Vickers went as a whole the elections Arabic and Michael marks little. Look that independent work right. I recently just re register that I was bullet point oh. Much I liked it I think when it first came it was it. I don't like to that was a bottom but I didn't like there's much -- having known militant religious works and so I really appreciate it does or does have a hole because he'll be out audited net at -- it's just like it's a watching. Of the Bogart movie and it's like I hope that we Gordon is is Pete is about protector it's so hard that this. If Europe and a Gordon and I know. Not the -- legend Gordon's. The decision. This is this is a book for you mean he. They brought them back recently to do you believe they really don't get any play whatsoever because he's opening of the Batman books all -- and -- Senate Democrats seem smoking bars bookstores but socialist -- com. But this is this is there's this great Gordon -- this interest in working Brubaker."

" So now being where we're -- now with a -- here's Shaun Phillips on the on the success of protesters coming -- come on -- award winning Eisner award winning criminal. How does this compare to criminal which is like -- kind of flat."

" It's very very similar -- out of an apparent -- because that same team. We you know from criminal if you read criminal you know -- Rubin who loves his old crime nor did he write essays in the back of a couple little crime normally balloons -- the first. This is this a lot of it permits us he loves old black shadowy. He doesn't really -- this is grace I yeah I wonder if like if not for this we probably wouldn't have -- Maybe I don't know of this team that of the team yeah -- team looks fantastic to look bad I've only ever is a shadowy characters."

" I love Jeff Gordon and you write I had realizes what he's back I -- it adds it completely squandered bring him back in the nothing with them. The -- movies directly who owns the it's -- but if you like you know I was old like Maltese falcon is you know -- if you think about it as a lot of a lot of really best Batman stories have. Jim Gordon hasn't really made and in my -- in your one -- and needs Jim Gordon and it was worth it happened."

" This is that this is similar to that that he. You -- Gordon back to make it does mrs. Qaeda if it does belt worlds forties version of this is kind of like Gordon hazel Morton. Let's talk about -- grew up and it kicked off the course of just kind of alcoholism. This Gordon since Mosul Leo -- of him -- paso Anbar. -- The I mean -- cities and his hit rock bottom but he's debate -- ballot and and and it preserve old army during a spokeswoman get our minds is is supported Bruce about going to war in -- so. Cool it's really this is a fantastic book and all -- also if you're here -- historians. There's a little bit a judge that judge -- mystery here just. The famous judge should just wondered just disappeared up the street from the twenties and -- pinnacle eight incorporate that changes name but the same exact circumstances. And that was really. Cool things that they weren't really known back then and you know you -- When did you that's -- one on them while those who -- this was Brubaker had done a Batman books. This is actor that I think -- if you stop doing those. I don't know definitely -- college so that was before 2004 of those Brubaker Batman books a million start off like. Well we're a little and I do like with Red Hat. But this is the Palin I think this is this is one of the things -- it. I think once you've built up his cred with a bad man but I think she probably got to do this because you can tell this is what -- let's -- wanted to probably also helped usher and now from central city like Gotham Central you've probably end this on to get. Potential fans criminal fans. -- war detective story and Batman fan as anybody. What about those people I would love this book that's not along and yet not -- isn't really fantastic elsewhere I hope you can -- and this is you know the stuff. I read this night get pissed that they discontinue the line because it did leave secret storage from the."

" So this and he's also very books Nelson classic you know kind of image you for your kind of thing will -- action little back and -- rules and then. If you want to find these books he had overnight -- complex and a monitor forming finalists. Is books on Amazon -- we'll put some links about it directly. Yeah exactly. So but in the meantime if you hadn't done any suggestions for books that we should reader you know the these are my new book that we should check out he may also contact and I am what I found. Or."

" You wanna call and talk to us violence -- this -- and we got it we don't talk to you did it hit it if ever."

" That's none of them. 888 the Illinois is a voicemail online and that's that's as close -- you'll get -- 66."

" So much of the bar every David every that but obviously it makes these books. And I you can also go to discuss the books this -- the weekly pick the week which you do every week and just any any kind of public discussion that's about that would dot com and also there's the forms at revision3.com or go to fort section is -- and what are you can go -- forums are. Home page that ambush and you can go others discuss your own topics --"

" Interactivity and community which is really pretty cool fight -- single monitor things and does these do this is that it I don't know about their business levers and ecological -- I'm I want you to read this scene from the beginning. We're gonna get the only archives are you going to have them available but I can -- unity because I don't wanna I don't want any gaming isn't going to help I am Canadian economy. -- for the first ever read all three look cool. A long time now beginning to either side -- Possible we have reason that."
