iFanboy has a nice, long chat with comic book legend Stan Lee. That is quite literally 'nuff said.
Stan Lee literally needs no introduction. He is the well from which many of the great ideas of Marvel Comics sprung, and at 85 years old, he's got more energy and enthusiasm than anyone.
Joined by Jeff Cannata from the Totally Rad Show, Stan weathers a barrage of questions posed by iFanboy users. Stan talks about the early days of Marvel, his creation of The Hulk, X-Men, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, and even Giant-Man. Find out how Stan worked with Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, and if you're lucky, you catch something about Stan's new book, Election Daze. He even talks about his Iron Man cut scene!
This is Stan, off-script, candid, and having a whole of of fun with iFanboy.

"We talked a bit beforehand but he was late to our shoot and so he had to run off to his next thing almost right after. Not before we all got pictures with him, though.
Wait, I mean, I was at the pool the whole time, that's just what I heard happened!"
Haha. Sneaky. You almost had me fooled, Kilpatrick.
My one complaint with this episode: When you came back from an ad, I was really hoping to see someone playing pinball while Stan answered questions.

I didn't feel exasperated at all. I was stunned by how smoothly it went. All those laughs and all that enthusiasm on our part was entirely genuine.

This was fantastic. He has so much energy so I am impressed who you guys were able to have an actual conversation with him. I could see how it would be hard to steer the conversation. A few times Josh seemed a little exasperated; was it a little frustrating or were my perceptions just a bit screwy?

Great episode. The only bit it was lacking was one last shot of Conor by the pool after the credits, looking around and checking his watch.

" I think of a question.
I've never been able to tell what Stan Lee's personal politics are from reading his work; if you asked him, d'you think he'd tell you?"
I'm kinda glad you didn't think of this one in time. Does it really matter what a writer's personal politics are to a story? To me, if you can tell a writer's politics from a story, they're not doing a very good job of writing the character. They're just putting their words in the characters mouth instead of finding the characters voice.

This was my first episode (I, too, thought iFanboy centered around macs -- I think the "i" threw me, and the fact that I'm kinda slow helped) but I'm definitely going to start watching it from now on! This was a wonderful interview and I think you guys did a great job. I had no idea Stan Lee was so funny. And it's great to see that he still gets so excited discussing comics -- proof positive that you're NEVER too old for geekdom!

"I thought it was funny that he didn't want to admit Spider-Man and co. were in any way related to Robin Hood and Tarzan.
Nice try following up on it though.
"Well, I think superheroes are sort of a logical extension of..."
"I am ORIGINAL!""
Glad I'm not the only one to pick up on this. Had I been in the room I probably would have been yelling like a lunatic. "VINES AND WEBS OLD MAN, VINES AND WEBS."

Really fantastic job, guys.
I couldn't imagine actually trying to interview him, he's just so "energetic". You guys did a really nice job.
