Indie comics legend and pioneer Dave Sim has returned with his new project, Glamourpuss, and Ron is all about this high fashion adventure.
Glamourpuss #1 is Dave Sim's epic tale of his effort to learn the photorealistic style of classic artist Alex Raymond and his followers, Al Williamson, John Prentice and Neal Adams.

These days we don't really see this photo realistic silent comics as much the closest example would be Alex Ross and his photo rules this realistic painting style. But what Jason has done is he's gone back to these 1950s and 1960s comics and it's what is re teaching himself how to draw on the style. What -- was number one does is it tells the tale of his adventure of researching this art. Interviewing people like Neal Adams and basically trying to figure out the craft of drawn in this photo realistic style the those who -- really into how comets are made and the actual bomb. Tools that are used he goes into detail of the different pens and pencils and brushes and the pros and cons of brushes and how to use -- And it's a real amazing amazing journey and art and the actual execution of comic art. We do get a couple pages in the story the self education and Natasha. Which is an example of -- dates and showing his chops either in this photo realistic style. But ultimately this book is. More non fiction and -- fiction it's days in sharing his interest in the style and what he's done in trying to eight this this violent actually create a comic based around it. Do with the of art is beautiful like he said there all women from the early sixties that easy is this photo reference from fashion magazines. And days -- is is known to be a controversial figures of course some of the writing it's a little -- anarchy and kind of criticizing a fashion these days. But on.
