Episode 1 - Internet Superstar

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 - running time 00:25:37

Martin Sargent, and his drifter pal The Gator, launch a new show that Martin decrees will make him an Internet Superstar. They welcome Tom Green and indie comics creator Jamar Nicholas as inaugural guests to the shack.

Friends, today is a big day.

If you step outside, you'll hear a different kind of rustle in the trees. Look at the cloud. You'll see shapes and formations that you don't recognize, but that somehow make a kind of horrendously beautiful, unfathomable sense as they ride across the deep sky. Notice the birds. They weren't making those sounds yesterday, and their flight paths are remarkably angular, like they're dodging between trails of potent energy only they can know. Yes, when next you go out into the world, put your ear down on the railroad track of Life. You'll hear a train a coming, an impossibly powerful, fire-fed locomotive belching the smoke of Truth as it barrels down the line, dappling the sky with pendulous puffs of frightening grandeur. Friend, there is a very dear passenger on that train, and in accordance with The Scripture, you will meet Him at the station. For today is the day, and chances are he'll exit from the bar car. And for certain, he shall set your soul on fire.

Rejoice! For that train, with its dear passenger, has arrived. Huzzah! Today marks a new beginning in the history of Internet television, for today premieres the greatest show in the life of this young genre. And it shall be called...INTERNET SUPERSTAR!

On this first journey of our powerfully entertaining online locomotive, Martin and The Gator welcome Jamar Nicholas, a renowned graphic novelist who, through his blog, has created a frenzy, especially for those into thick women with superpowers. fatwonderwoman.blogspot.com is a clearinghouse for all of Jamar's comic artist friends to submit their visions of what the powerful DC Comcs Amazonian might look like if she were to put on about a hundred pounds.

And then we welcome a true pioneer in the field of Internet television, Tom Green. His show, Tom Green's House Tonight, is simulcast online and on television in several markets, a true coup for all of us in the burgeoning field of online televsion entertainment.

It looks as though Martin and The Gator are unstoppable, but there is one wrinkle in their otherwise streamlined path towards Internet superstardom. Because, after cancelling Infected, Revision3 CEO Jim Louderback decreed he'd only allow Martin to have another show if the network had to provide no resources besides the bandwidth to deliver it, and that it must be shot off Revision3 property, their show is shot in a shed in Martin's parents' backyard. But Martin and his crew of misfits are undeterred, and pledge to make this the greatest show in the history of the Internet.

For this, despite all obstacles, will be the show that makes Martin a true Internet Superstar...
