With things in the housing economy as tough as they are and getting tougher every day, it's hard to imagine how MTV can still be airing CRIBS.

It is the inaugural episode of JV's World on Revision3!
With things in the housing economy as tough as they are and getting tougher every day, it's hard to imagine how MTV can still be airing CRIBS.

What is the point of this show? Is it to provide humor on an issue? If so, where's the humor? Repeatedly saying the phrase "Eat shit and die" and the host JV harassing a man until he uttered "It was a huge slap in the face" were the only aspects of the show that was not reporting on the state of the world.If this is a show about issues, why is the issue of MTV Cribs showing luxurious houses while others lose their homes due to hard economic times the hottest topic for a pilot? A man supposedly known for his controversial choice of topics has to be able to do better than MTV trash.
In short, I have no idea what is the point behind this show. It fails to deliver on both humor and any kind of informative discussion about a worth while topic. What is the purpose of Revision3 Beta? Shouldn't those shows have first shot at upgrading to a full Revision3 show? Revision3 almost canceled Pixel Perfect to hire JV? Stop this show before any others have to view this pointless garbage.

Couldn't sit though it. Annoying. If his source is MTV, that died 20 years ago, then his shtick is schtuck in the eighties. This is the best rev3 could find? Seriously? Hell, just upgrade Bottles Blends and Brews from Beta, Or get NeverEndingRant, or MessOfMusic. Both have much better, less pretentious hosts.

it's definitely not for everyone
He's going to be polarizing, which I think is OK. Not everyone is going to like it. But JV's got a tremendous following and is very creative. This one's just the beginning, the next one will be even better.Thanks everyone for giving it a shot. If you don't like this one, wait a week or two - we'll have another new show launch you might like better.

That's an excellent post.
That will go down as one of Revision3's greatest mistakes. They let go of two of the most talented and loved internet personalities.
Now, Leo Laporte was smart enough to snatch them up and are now doing a show called This Week in Fun. http://www.twit.tv

This JV's world.. Way too flashy.. too gimmicky. And it looks like the guy has no operating budget.. Images seemed like they were randomly found on google.
To be honest, what is the point of a show where you have someone complaining about EVERYTHING? It's completely annoying. The host is obnoxious
On the topic discussed... I don't mind Cribs. People will always find other people's style (especially celebrities) interesting. I would feel offended by the show if Cribs came out recently, but it's been on for years. You know what I find pathetic? While people are losing their jobs and their homes, talking about how bad MTV cribs is. I think a lot of people have bigger problems than MTV.
The last thing we need is another show that uses clips and images from varying sources. NEW and ORIGINAL contest is what is needed.
For the style of this show, I think all the animated graphics around JV are too much. Just a simple shot of him on camera would work.
I guess I'll give the show another shot, but I don't have my hopes up.
