In this episode, we unbox and review the ASUS PadFone 2, a 4.7 inch smartphone and its unique hybrid design 10.1 inch tablet dock. Plus, we do a detailed walkthrough with the phone's benchmarks.
We get our hands on the new ASUS PadFone 2 and its 10.1 inch tablet dock. The new PadFone sports a 720p 4.7 inch LG Super IPS+ panel which has a maximum brightness of 700 nits and a top of the line quad core Qualcomm S4 Pro APQ 8064 running at 1.5 GHz, plus, a whopping 2GB of RAM.
Style wise, the new version has the same tapered look as its predecessor, however, its 2140mAH battery will no longer be removable. It weights in at 135g and measures 137.9 x 68.9 x 9mm. As a result of the sleeker look, there is also no micro SD card slot for expansion. On the other hand, the rear-facing camera is an impressive 13 megapixel Sony CCD and a 3.5 mm jack and microSIM slot at the top of the device.
