" Again welcome the pixel perfect with me on show were actually -- Photoshop stuff and whatever else comes to mind. Yeah actually gonna show you something that a lot of people requested actually been requested from live performances of people have come up and -- could do. Today on cameras that we can have a record of it. Old old trick that allowed to do it explains how to clone tool works and the concepts behind it things work. Before we thought -- thank my co sponsor godaddy.com. -- you can get 96 dollars and free extras with your domain name. Godaddy.com each domain name includes free hosting with a web builder. A free blog complete. When you check out. With your dot com domain name it's just going to be six dollars and 95 cents a year that's a pretty good deal better daylight yet. Some restrictions apply you know the usual a -- That it way let's get to work. I'm gonna do today is gonna take. The -- which was seen on screen here donut and turn into a different kind of don't make this -- into it gently down. Now. Tell Donna doesn't have a whole the president had to do is get rid of that whole. Allah I do is I'm gonna use the clone tool. Now right of the back. The clone tool as you can see it has a nice soft edged rush. Now in some cases that's good and other cases it's not this particular case -- A soft edged brush it's gonna -- you hate all along the edges which is going to look fuzzy it's gonna make things look. Out of focus where writings that rush. Things like clouds water. Schuller. In this case these things that are have very fine detail to have this ghosting on problem it's gonna look wrong. Now if I bring that to a sharp for a 100% sharpness that it's another problem -- you have a hard edge. Which in a case like clouds thwarted -- here you're gonna see a very sharp -- where I'm clone. So what I can do with his clone tool is to give it a brush that has a hardness of about 85% somewhere between 85 and 90%. That's gonna give me enough of a soft edge to give me in -- that blending. The anti -- is not enough. That's gonna give your hard it. It's gonna show up in a case like this so about 85 and 90%. Of hardness is gonna get your nice slot that soft enough to give you a nice blending between."

" and the original image behind it. So right now that decide ultimately decides little bigger than a nice size schools -- about -- that's good sides right there. Now let's start the clone. Now and choose a clone from -- hold down -- option alt key on PC and violently now. One thing also to keep in mind I just did a little bit you see this area right here that and that. Exactly this. Even the untrained eyes and look at that and say hey -- a form that little shape in two places exactly this thing. With water how -- that wave look exactly like this way. So it's important to do is to go in there and all from different parts of that image. I launches click ones and set up but my alignment as you know as I have a line trip up there in the options bar. I don't just click once and then start pulling away I will align it from different points that we again really strong variety. -- an option that from here and drawing a couple who -- fair option for them here. Option click again option but here so you see I'm picking up from different areas so that -- end result is gonna be very random looking. That's like this there now we see that I don't it has nothing that looks the same there's no pattern it's visible. That would be a pattern we see. -- sugar has a certain configuration right there has the same exact configuration over here has again. That's not good I wanted to politically in the cyclone from different parts at the time it takes a little longer but. The end result is a better effect. So now now out of we have this -- it's all closed up it's usually don't. Now let's take a bite. It take a bite out so I'm gonna turn it off my aligned. This time what happens is that when I set up the initial. Cloned from area. Every time I click and it's gonna cloned from that original spot which is in this case going to be the background and select right here option click right there. And I start to clone it they can see that each -- clone it's gonna call on from the same area soften up the -- just a little more this time. And effect on aggregate these little faith to -- this. And all this thanks a byte in here and it's -- it's there ago. Again this nice little effect just like that a couple teeth marks to make real. So now we're seeing the inside about don't. That is inside of the doughnut. There's no different than the outside the inside doesn't have sugar so I'm gonna do is I'm gonna. Get a good picture up. Little slice of bread here and I got my idea image here and it -- program. -- returned -- a lying back on. The phone from one image to deal. Now if you're using CS three which you could do is have -- active image selected. And then hold on that option key alt key to set up the -- and click on the other image. In CS three what you do is have the image of -- cloned from active and pulled out Mikey and say cloned from there. -- Then I go back to my other image the image on a -- to and I start to draw. And they can see that -- cloning from the other image so I'm bringing that kind of ready to look into this image here just like that. Goes and how we had the inside about donut which looks totally different from the outside and down. So now got this Donna it took a nice big bite out of it we put it back on the table. We need something else. -- Some crimes. Now this case the background slightly different so there was analysts often up my -- remorse in real nice and he's on the edges and a clone from right here. Phone from there. Go back to my image and it -- to me. -- eloquent though there and most of the clone and is my little crumbs. Is a crumbs on the table. The grounds and they we have some -- sitting on table now comes to. Another layer. Let's say we make a nice to a very bright red right here. And with my paper rush -- get hearted brush. Like this Derek yeah to bring up the size a little and I and paint and my little they have. -- in the past -- back up. -- to normal. And I just paints and jelly right in the that. Are coming down. And -- got this little water -- in there and that red area. That's just a big. Blob of read write to them at some dimension now. So I'm getting darker version of that -- nice start version -- lock the transparency. So stay within that area. And going to get really soft bed brush now. On here and get the softest brush. And I just gonna talk capital dark tones on the edge like that the couple maybe of the ones down here. Where it right in there. That's a couple. That's the Gibson mentioned -- does not even so I'm not using a layer style which would give me and you've been told all the way around I don't want to be even with this. Got a little different here's some variety. Just any a couple of tones and different spots some spots more than others and I've got this nice little effect going on there fate she'd. I think now and take a lighter version of this red. Go into my colors yeah pick almost like just a little -- here and -- that same soft brush and bring down to passively. -- down to about mania. 1416%. And to do that right inside here and there just some touches. There has to give them a little bit machine right in there and top with the jelly. Now to make it really looked wet. The reflection. -- nice little. Tone of like where where unlike sort of somewhere and zoom in on this in real close. And went -- to do is elements is simply let a path guide my brush that I want to have to worry about how it's going to go and also one of the fade out. So now I'm going to do it and get my pencil and create a -- Now. When you stroke path. It starts from where you started that path to where it ends when I want to happen here is I want as little better to go. Up like that and feeding out this way. So I'm gonna create. Two paths that are going to work as one they have to be two separate paths that they're both cleaning out at begins I can have one of -- Becomes solid and page again -- to have two paths that will create that effect forming. Select a potential and creative path right here that looks like that. Now get that little tone that has happened in there. Keep in mind that what was created was expected later make sure you have the second choice there which is gonna give you -- It in the options are you have two choices the third one does not applied the pencil. Whole episode on the pen tool so in case you didn't catch that one that's what's happening here the first one is what's called them effectively. So layered has the back the foreground color with a -- as a mask you'll only see that color inside the mask. The second choice is the path which is what I want here. A simple path which I'm going to use for something else third choice gives you a build pixel area which doesn't work for a -- it only worked with."

" The primitive which are down here you line tool you rectangle tool and so now my pencil any path vote and on there and select. Man -- shape right here. Appear. -- got this little curve going on -- grab that and move it around and get a little stronger further about one just like that. And now he's like the by clicking. Elsewhere on the screen and -- create another path for you make sure that read about it because going to automatically connected to what happens of the cursor -- it's connecting at that. I don't want to connect the have to be individual paths. -- Close to it I don't know the handle and come up Peter and -- Now want to grab this and hold down my command key controlling PCs that can grab it. His little pointer and grab that and put it right above the original path. It's not quite arrogant and you my question he's just the line it up like that. Then I have my two paths are now make sure they're not selected. To pass that there and the beauty of the path tool is that I can and then time go in there and just and I think -- the view. More of the current same thing here than what are they now I've got the perfect or. So now I get my paintbrush. And I'm gonna use white. As white and you make that hard -- brush but Nyhan let's go down to three. Five that looks good actually make it for. School when there and can afford that's a good size right. Right now that bush is gonna do is that. If -- down that -- back up to 1% and creates this little streak like that. One wanted to do was to fade out so I go into my brush engine an idea -- my -- engine. And I'll turn off shape dynamics because I don't want anything to affect the -- a go to my -- and on the space and so it's a nice. Hard edged and I solid line. And it looks like that so far. That's going down here to other dynamics and that's what I'm gonna set up and patsy fade. On -- at -- to become transparent as at stroke appears and say hey. And I contestants are announced at the 25 as soon it's gonna look like that's very short as you can see that they do that. That's bring that up to say 55. That's tested out. And that's just about right but it a little longer than -- so let's just make it an even fifty. We know it's gonna work if you want tested stuff whereas going to go and then you see there's that nice little -- and do that. Now I have my past I have my brush my brush has been modified to -- of the effect that I want its goal here and say window. Paths is my path -- so -- that got to work path which are safe. We have in case -- user again. I'm in the brush. And in the tool itself so -- hit the stroke path icon down here it's gonna automatically used the currently selected -- so when -- click on that. And guess what. We should put it into its own -- open up while they -- window. And create another layer. And just because we should let's go ahead and means one call this little. Quote high. Right so there we go in that the -- which is created I get my. -- There it is and I go ahead and stroke. Now. You -- happened there. It's creating this it's following this other stroke. And it's going the wrong direction. This stroke. Going to have to be modified. It this way. Go appear. And I do love undo makes things so much easier. So now in my paintbrush. And here and stroke that again. And now we see that they're both going in opposite directions like turn -- my path. Go back on a percent there we have this nice little glitter in there and it's salute to low. The fact that it's a separate layer I can always go in there and move up a little bit move it over and I've got that little shimmer chess for an. So now it's nice juicy and wit and I'm getting ready for lunch just made me hungry. Popular or something that there's something you wanna -- in particular. Feel free to send me an email and convert at revision3.com. We'll be right here on your screen. Which you like to see and I try to do it here on the show.
